2026
The 2026 rebate landscape
The federal 25C tax credit for heat pumps and high-efficiency equipment ended December 31, 2025. What's still active for Minnesota homeowners: utility rebate programs — Xcel Energy and CenterPoint Energy both offer rebates on qualifying high-efficiency furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, and smart thermostats — and state rebate programs for qualifying projects. Amounts and eligibility depend on the specific equipment and your utility, which is why we confirm before you commit to anything.

How much can utility rebates save?
It depends on the equipment and your utility — rebate amounts change program to program and year to year. We'll quote your project both ways so you see the real number.
Do rebates stack with your coupons?
